Our Story

Sunshine and Hounds was created from a deep respect for dogs and a belief that their care should be intentional, enriching, and rooted in understanding. My early hands-on work in veterinary and rescue settings planted the seed for something more personal — a space where dogs could be seen as individuals and cared for with patience, presence, and heart.

With hands-on experience in veterinary care in Florida and certification in Pet First Aid & CPR, safety and awareness are gently woven into every experience. That foundation shaped the way I read subtle body language, notice small shifts in behavior, and respond thoughtfully so each dog feels secure and supported.

Over the years, I’ve volunteered with dog rescue organizations, working with dogs of many temperaments and histories. These experiences strengthened my belief that every dog deserves patience, thoughtful guidance, and opportunities to build confidence at their own pace.

Sunshine and Hounds is built on the idea that dogs deserve more than routine walks — they deserve individualized, one-on-one care designed around who they are.
